This unlabelled Mittenwald violin features typical arching and is likely a late 19th century instrument. It has Ebony pegs and dark boxwood tailpiece and chinrest. It features a 2 piece maple back which shows some signs of worm damage but is very stable now. The spruce top shows even grains at a medium width and has one very well repaired crack that is stable.
The sound on this instrument is very full and typically of such a broad arching founding on instruments like this. It is warm and mature, but we've paired it with Pirastro Perpetual strings so as to bring out more volume with the instrument. This violin would be well suited to someone looking for a violin with a mature sound without needing to project across a concert hall.

- Mature, full sound with good warmth

- L.O.B: 357mm
